About 2 weeks ago I got to travel to Indianapolis to photograph a “she said yes” session with Ashley & David. I have known Ashley for a few years now and I will be photographing their wedding in Florida this December 2012. Ashley has her own video business and offered to do a small documentary video for me about my photography business. We had a blast photographing their engagement session and shortly after we started the video. I was nervous to be in front of a camera, I rather be the one behind it.
But overall Ashley did an amazing job making me feel very comfortable. I had a mutual friend of ours Rachel model for me while I photographed her and talked about my photography background. It was a wonderful experience and I am very glad I got the chance to do it!

A few weeks ago I got the chance to meet and photograph this wonderful couple! It was a bright sunny day but a little on the windy chilly side. Since it was cold we decided to do the makeup application in the car to stay warm for a little bit before the session began. During this time, I got the chance to hear how the two of them met and what they love to do together. They both have a great love for football but Linda is a Notre Dame fan and he is a big Michigan fan!! I thought it would be fun to have them look up old statistics on each team and compare the two. We shared some laughter in the car as he looked up all the stats and pointed out what Michigan had over Notre Dame. Once I finished the makeup application we ventured out around my good friend Carmen’s property. Linda had mentioned that she liked the look of an old barn so I thought Carmen’s property would be the perfect location! Even-though it was cold that day all and all everything turned out great! It was wonderful meeting and working with the both of them! Thank you again for having me photograph your engagement session!

I am very excited to announce that baby Nora has finally arrived and is home! Congratulations to my good friends Sean & Nicole on their beautiful baby girl! I got the chance this past Sunday to go and photograph and meet Nora. She is just too cute!! I wanted to add a few personal touches to her newborn session. So I had found a baby chef hat as well as two cracker jack boxes for the session. Sean recently proposed to Nicole by putting her ring in a cracker jack box so I thought it would be cute to include a few for Nora’s session. And since Sean is a Chef and owner of Temper Grille in Granger, IN I had to find a baby chef hat! Overall, Nora did a wonderful job with her first photo shoot! Thank you again to Sean & Nicole for having me capture your beautiful baby girl! So happy for the both of you and I can not wait to do her first full year sessions!!!

On Feb. 25th I was asked to photograph an amazing family in Michigan. They were having a local event for their daughter to help raise money for all of her medical cost as well as therapy. It was an honor to meet this family as well as capture special moments. Their daughter has so much strength and the love that the family has all together is truly amazing. I can not thank Roberta enough for contacting me to photograph this amazing family! It might have been just 30 minutes out of my day but to capture such memories and moments that means more to me than anything.

I got to ring in the new year photographing Grant & Christine’s wedding! I had gotten the pleasure of photographing their engagement session in Bloomington Indiana on the IU campus. They were so much fun to work with and what better way to make a quick visit to IU and grab my favorite sandwich from Dagwoods for the trip back home! The day of the wedding I started out doing the makeup applications for Christine, her sister (whom I actually photographed her wedding years ago), her mother as well as Grant’s mother. Once everyone finished getting ready, I got everything set up for Grant & Christine’s first look! They wanted to have a private moment to see one another before the ceremony, which is one of my favorite things to photograph. There is so much love and emotion! They shared a few hugs, just a few tears and of course a kiss or two! When it came time for the ceremony everything turned out perfectly! As they left the church all the guests greeted them with sparklers, it was a great way to put a personal touch on not only celebrating their marriage but to ring in the new year!! The reception was filled with lots of love and laughter and when the count down began for the clock to strike midnight, party hats, horns, balloons, cheers, etc… took place! I wanted to make sure I captured Grant & Christine’s first kiss at midnight so I had to find my way through the crowd and just made it right at midnight! Overall I had a wonderful time working with Grant & Christine and meeting all of their family and friends! It was a wonderful way to celebrate the new year! Much Congrats to Grant & Christine! Thank you so much for everything!

After awhile I started doing some photography work for him and we became good friends. His girlfriend Nicole, I have gotten to know over the past 7 months or so and they are seriously the cutest couple! They compliment each other very well and I could not be more happy for the both of them! They are expecting a “baby girl” and could not be more excited! I am so glad that I have gotten the chance to get to know the both of them and I can not wait to meet their beautiful baby girl in just a few weeks! Congratulations to the both of you & thank you so much for having me photograph such a wonderful moment! Love you both & baby girl too!
